Demi Lovato credits boyfriend for saving from disorder relapse
London: Singer Demi Lovato has revealed her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama helped her avoid an eating disorder relapse by spotting early signs and cautioning her. The 'Heart Attack' singer, who is a huge advocate for eating disorders and self-harm, spent three-months getting treatment for bulimia and a self-harming disorder along with drug abuse back in 2010.
Lovato, 22, said Valderrama, 34, helped her evade returning to rehab and she is now on a structural meal plan, reported the Daily Mirror. "It's been difficult. I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer. I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time. Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief. Now I'm on a structured meal plan. I eat four small meals and two snacks a day. It's teaching me portion control," she said.
