Anurag Kashyap lands a lead role
Mumbai: Anurag Kashyap and his protégée Huma Qureshi had made the headlines a little while ago for their alleged off-screen chemistry. However, they may now have a chance to display some of that on screen as well. The filmmaker and the actress have been reportedly roped in by Sudhir Mishra to play the lead pair in his upcoming film, a political thriller.
This will be Anurag’s first full-fledged role. Apart from the fact that he’s been paired with Huma, the film sounds interesting due to the transformation Anurag will undergo for the role.
“Anurag is busy with the post-production of Bombay Velvet and Sudhir is in the process of winding up his directorial venture Aur Devdas. Their film will go on the floors as soon as they wind up their respective projects,” said sources close to Sudhir Mishra. Incidentally, Anurag had convinced Karan Johar to act in Bombay Velvet. Now it seems like Sudhir has persuaded Anurag to do the same.
