The final contract negotiations for Sikorsky’s S-70B helicopter will start soon

New Delhi: Ahead of the visit of US President Barack Obama to India next month, American firm Sikorsky is all set to bag a Rs 6,000-crore contract for supplying 16 multi-role helicopters (MRHs) to the Indian Navy after it emerged the winner after a Global Tender process, defence sources confirmed.
Defence sources said the commercial bids were opened on Thursday and that the US firm was the winner.
The final contract negotiations for Sikorsky’s S-70B helicopter will start soon.
