Kozhikode: The Crime Branch team investigating the LKG student sexual abuse case on Friday visited Nadapuram and collected details of the case from the former investigation team.
The CB team headed by DySP Mohanachandran and CI Keerthi Babu also visited the Darul Huda English Medium School, where the abuse took place, and the destitute home where the accused were staying.
The DySP told mediapersons that they were reviewing the CDs recorded by the local police investigation team and also the other case records.
Meanwhile, the parents of the child and the action committee members are doubtful about the silence of Child Line, which has not conducted counselling for the victim child and other students despite the Nadapuram CI writing a letter to Child Line in this regard.
However, Child Line activists have not come to the school even after one month of the crime.
As per the Act, the Child Line should provide counselling to the child and also to other students in the class within 24 hours of reporting of such crimes.
However, the Child Line has not followed this mandate. The Kozhikode Child Line has already come under a cloud for their inaction on a report by the Nadapuram police.
