Chennai: The Madras high court has ordered notice to the state government on a petition from a 50-year-old father, which sought a direction to consider his representation to transfer to CBI the investigation into his woman missing complaint regarding his daughter, in which he made allegations against state forest minister M.S.M. Anandan.Justice M.M. Sundresh posted after four weeks further hearing of the petition filed by I.Christopher.
According to the petitioner, his elder daughter was working as an accountant in Galaxy Plywoods in Tirupur, owned by V.M. Gokul, son of the elder sister of minister Anandan. On September 2, 2014, since she did not return home, he visited her office and came to know that Gokul was also missing.Hence, he returned home. Around 1 pm, Shajahan, Parthiban and many others came to his house, forcibly taken him and his wife and younger daughter to the minister’s house. There they slapped him many times in the presence of an assistant commissioner of police and directed him to give a woman missing complaint without mentioning Gokul.
Accordingly, on September 3, he gave a woman missing complaint regarding his daughter to the police and it was registered. On September 12, he came to know that his daughter and Gokul had consumed poison and were admitted to a hospital in Krishnagiri. When he went to the hospital to meet his daughter, he came to know that she and Gokul had got married in Kerala in the presence of Gokul’s friend.
When he and his wife were there in the hospital, nearly a 100 henchmen came to the hospital and forcibly took Gokul as also their wedding photographs. His daughter gave a police complaint regarding the incident.Thereafter, he sent statements in connection with the woman missing complaint to the assistant commissioner of police by post. But, no action whatsoever has been taken by the police since the allegations were against the minister and his family. Therefore, he sent a representation to various authorities to transfer the investigation into his woman missing complaint to CBI. But there was no response, he added.
