2 civilians killed, 9 injured in grenade attack by militants in Kashmir’s Tral
Srinagar: Two civilians were killed and 9 others were injured on Friday when militants hurled a grenade at a crowded bus stand in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, police said.
Unidentified militants lobbed the grenade on a security patrol at Tral bus stand, 35 kms from here, killing Ghulam Hasan Mir (60) and injuring 9 others, the police said.
They said the injured were immediately rushed to a hospital. Sources said that the condition of three of the injured civilians is serious.
The whole area was cordoned off immediately after the blast and a hunt has been launched to nab the militants involved in the incident, the police said.
No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
