Rapists called victim girl again and demanded sex
Hyderabad: The two suspects in the Peddamberpet rape case took their victim’s phone number after raping her and later dropped her at the Hayathnagar junction. They also told her that she should come to them whenever they wanted sex. The same night, they called her and said that she should come to the same place next morning, the rapists revealed during investigation.
The duo had seen the couple going inside the abandoned building, followed them secretly and filmed them while they were in a compromising position.
Police arrested N. Srinivas Reddy, 32, a welder and B. Linga Reddy, 27, a mechanic, both residents of Peddamberpet village and produced them before court on Thursday.
On Monday the two saw the couple passing by on a two-wheeler and decided to intercept them. “The building had no door. We could see what was going on inside and we filmed them. After that we went inside and blackmailed them,” said the duo. The couple were students and were helpless. “Fearing the duo her boyfriend left. The suspects drove him away, telling him that if he did not leave they would call the police and his parents to show what they had shot on their phones. After that they raped the girl inside the building and took her on their bike to Hayathnagar,” said a police official.
The accused Srinivas Reddy is a divorcee. Linga Reddy is married and has a child. Both were confident that the victims would not approach the police due to fear.
Hayathnagar inspector P. Venkateshwarlu said that the duo has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
