Warangal: A 14-year-old girl committed suicide at Dhramasagar after her neighbour allegedly attempted to rape her.
The accused, a 45-year-old daily wager, was arrested. He entered the girl’s house when she was alone, showed her some obscene pictures and took her to his house and tried to rape her. However, on hearing the girl’s screams, her neighbours saved her.
The girl later doused herself with kerosene and burnt herself. She was rushed to the MGM Hospital where she succumbed on Thursday.
Warangal CI Srinivas said a case has been registered based on a complaint filed by the girl's parents.
