Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma to auction film costumes for Kashmir flood victims
Mumbai: Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma recently pledged to auction off costumes from their films 'Rockstar' and 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' to raise funds for the victims of the devastating Kashmir floods.
eBay India and Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) have joined hands for the noble cause and are seeking bids for a charity auction on www.ebay.in/charity. Ranbir's Kashmirir pheran from 'Rockstar' and Anushka's edgy leather jacket from 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' are up for grabs on the site. The auction will begin on Thursday and will close on December 13.
Ranbir said in a statement: "I feel honoured to be able to contribute towards supporting the redevelopment of Kashmir and Assam through the charity auction run by eBay India and EEMA. I encourage people to participate in this noble cause and help all those in need".
Anushka is also very honoured and privileged to contribute to the rehabilitation and redevelopment of the affected areas.
