Speed up Pharma City works: CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to officials
The prime objective for the Pharma City is to relocate existing pharma industries
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao carried out an aerial survey to identify land for the new Pharma City.
The prime objective for the Pharma City is to relocate existing pharma industries from the core areas of the city and check pollution, besides attracting fresh global and local investments in the pharma sector.
It has also been proposed to relocate the existing bulk drug manufacturing industries in Jeedimetla and other such pollutant industries in other areas of the city to the Pharma City to check pollution.
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories chief K. Satish Reddy, Hetero Drugs chief B. Parthasaradhi Reddy, Aurobindo Pharma vice-chairman K. Nityananda Reddy and representatives of various pharma industry groups M. Narayan Reddy, P. Eashwar Reddy, M.S.N. Reddy, S. Anand and M. Mohan Rao accompanied the Chief Minister.
Mr Rao directed officials to expedite the works to develop the Pharma City at the earliest and ensure that the pharma units were grounded soon.
