Keslapur jatara from January 19
It will be held at the Nagoba temple in Indravelli mandal
ADILABAD: The popular inter-state Keslapur Jatara will be held from January 19 to 27 next year at the Nagoba temple in Indravelli mandal. Efforts are on to make the tribal festival a grand success as it is for the first time it would be celebrated in separate Telangana state.
District collector M. Jagan Mohan and ITDA, Utnoor in-charge project officer Prashanth Patil visited the Nagoba temple and held a meeting, on Wednesday, with temple committee chairman Tukaram, sarpanch Nagnad, assistant commissioner of endowments department Vijayaramarao, trustees and elders of Mesram clan and discussed organising the jatara.
The collector handed over land documents relating to 27 acres of the temple land to the elders of Mesram clan and asked the officials to make necessary arrangements for the convenience of the pilgrims visiting the village. The jatara draws pilgrims from neighbouring states.
