Jaipur: The genital of a 17-day-old boy was chopped off due to alleged family rivalry in Jaipur, which the doctors say can’t be reconstructed till the boy attains the age of 5 years.
In the morning of November 27, the baby’s mother and grandfather rushed to his room upon hearing him cry and found that his private parts have been chopped off. The baby’s father, Akhil Jain, was away to Banswara for official work.
Mr Jain siad that the bleeding boy was rushed to a nearby hospital and later to SMS Hospital, where he was kept in the surgical ICU for two days.
The boy’s father suspected that a family member who had earlier threatened to ruin his married life might be behind the crime. He demanded immediate arrest of the culprit.
The family lodged the FIR against an unnamed family member with the police on November 28.
However, DCP Jaipur (East) Kunwar Rashtradeep said the police could not take any action before probing it cautiously as it was a sensitive issue.
