Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sanjay who is currently serving his 42-month sentence at Yerwada jail, Pune has applied for furlough, according to a report in Mid-day.
A source close to the actor was quoted as saying, “He has submitted his application and is awaiting its acceptance.” Sanjay has applied for a 14-day leave for reasons unknown.
Previously the actor was granted a month-long parole when his wife Manyata fell sick. He was also granted a 30-day furlough in October last year due to his own illness.
The actor’s frequent furlough applications have raised a few questions, resulting in the authorities ordering an inquiry.
On the work front Sanjay is awaiting the release of his next film Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘pk’.
