Mumbai: It’s no secret that Akshay Kumar loves conversing in his mother tongue Punjabi and doesn’t let go of any opportunity to do so. We hear that he and his Baby co-star Taapsee Pannu had an agreement that they would speak only in Punjabi throughout the shoot.
This led to a lot of confusion on the sets among the non-Punjabi crew members.
Our source says, “Both Akshay and Taapsee are pranksters. So they would often speak in fluent Punjabi intentionally, knowing that others on the set cannot understand what they are saying. This would lead to a lot of confusion on the sets and both actors would have a good laugh.”
Akshay was overheard saying he is happy to have a Punjabi speaking actress working with him because he rarely gets a chance to be on sets with people who speak his mother tongue so fluently.
