Microsoft to unveil 50MP camera on next Lumia

Microsoft seems to be on a war footing mode to make its presence felt in the smartphone market

Microsoft seems to be on a war footing mode to make its presence felt in the smartphone market. With the recent successful take over of Nokia, the Finnish smartphone giant, Microsoft finally dropped the Nokia brand and carried its own name with the Lumia smartphones.

And with the recent launch of the budget smartphone, the Microsoft Lumia 535, the tech giant is gearing up to launch something big.

According to Mobile Burn, Microsoft is all set to launch the next Lumia Windows Phone which will feature a whopping 50MP camera. The aim is to give the user a single piece of equipment—a smartphone and point and shoot camera.

As earlier proven, the Lumia PureView handsets were one of the finest in smartphone cameras and the Lumia carried it further with the 1020. Now, Microsoft wants to dominate the space with the Lumia 1030, which is allegedly sporting a 50MP camera, according to sources.

The Microsoft Lumia will sport a physically larger sensor and a short pulse LED flash. The handset will also include a Lumia photo app, specially designed for the camera.

As of now, we have no information about the device launch or unveiling. More information will be put out as soon as there is progress.
