Telangana plans to set up 'pharma city' near state capital
Hyderabad: Telangana government plans to set up a 'Pharma City' on 11,000 acres of land near the state capital to cater the pharma industry's needs, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced here on Wednesday.
Accompanied by various pharma company representatives, the Telangana Chief Minister took up an aerial survey of government land identified to set up 'Pharma City', a press release issued by the state government said.
The proposed "eco-friendly" 'Pharma City' would attract investments worth Rs 30,000 crore, the release said.
Along with facilities to set up manufacturing units, 'Pharma City' would also have ample space to construct townships to house employees, the release said.
A pharma university and a research institute would also be set up there, the release said.
