Students take out anti-AIDS rallies
Students of various colleges also joined the rally holding banners and placards
Warangal: Students of different educational institutions took out separate rallies in Warangal on the occasion of World AIDS Day on Monday. The students of Kakatiya University took out a rally, flagged off by registrar Dr M.V. Ranga Rao, from the SDLCE building to the Public Garden.
Students of various colleges also joined the rally holding banners and placards stating the need to go for protected sex to prevent contracting the deadly AIDS. Indira Gandhi NSS awardee and programme officer, Kakatiya Government College, Sravan Kumar took part in the rally.
University law college principal Dr. T. Vijayachandra flagged off another AIDS rally at the Subedari, which passed through the collectorate and culminated in a meeting at the Red Cross building at Waddepally. Law College NSS coordinator Dr. Y. Padmaja Rani said, “The NSS had organised many programmes to create awareness on AIDS among people. The NSS is committed to achieve an AIDS-free society. The youth of this generation are getting addicted to bad habits which are making them vulnerable.
