Sharad didn’t say I am not qualified to be CM: Jitan Ram Manjhi

The CM rejected all speculation about his relations with other leaders

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, who has been in the eye of the storm, on Monday asserted that he was as qualified to be a CM as any other leader in the party.

He was reacting to a statement made by JD(U) president Sharad Yadav that Mr Manjhi lacked certain qualifications to be CM.

Though Mr Yadav’s statement was equally applicable to JD(U) strongman Nitish Kumar, who had handpicked Mr Manjhi as his successor, the CM rejected all speculation about his relations with other leaders and said the Opposition was trying to tarnish the image of the party as well as his by spreading such rumours.

“I have strong doubts that Mr Sharad Yadav had said such kind of things about me,” Mr Manjhi said.
