Chennai: A spokesperson representing Superstar Rajinikanth’s family on Monday said Latha Rajinikanth was in no way connected to any kind of business transaction done with Ad Bureau related to the film Kochadaiyaan.
Reacting to a report appeared in this newspaper on Monday about not repaying over Rs 10 crore collected from Ad Bureau Advertising, promising distribution rights of the movie, a statement from the spokesperson said Media One, the producer of the movie, had already returned Rs 4.75 crore.
A cheque for Rs 4 crore has been already issued to Ad Bureau. “It was agreed to give documents of property for the rest of the amount,” the statement said, adding that Latha Rajinikanth has nothing to do with any of these business transactions.
The statement also noted that by dragging Latha Rajinikanth’s name into the controversy Ad Bureau had tarnished her image.
