PM Narendra Modi denounces Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening condemned the Naxal strike in Chhattisgarh in which 14 CRPF personnel were killed and said words are not enough to deplore the "brutal" and "inhuman" attack by "anti-national elements."
The Prime Minister said he spoke to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and the situation is being monitored. "Words are not enough to condemn the brutal and inhuman attack by anti-national elements in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. I salute the courageous CRPF personnel who have been martyred today. Our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their loved ones.
Chhattisgarh CM Dr Raman Singh expressed grief over the deaths over of the killings of CRPF jawans tweeting:
Deeply saddened with cowardly attack by naxalis on CRPF at Sukma in which our brave men lost their life serving their nation selflessly.

"Have spoken to Home Minister @BJPRajnathSingh & Chhattisgarh CM @drramansingh. We are monitoring the situation closely," the PM tweeted.

Maoists today killed 14 CRPF personnel, including two officers, and injured an equal number in the second attack on the force in 10 days in the same area in the Naxal hotbed of Sukma district in the state.
