Mumbai: Well, Anushka Sharma did end up bagging Rajkumar Hirani's 'pk', but one will be surprised to know that the actress had auditioned for the biggest blockbuster of 2009. Any guesses? She had auditioned for Kareena Kapoor's role in '3 Idiots'! Yes you heard it right.
An interesting fact is both the Director Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan had no clue that Anushka had auditioned for the role. Rajkumar refused to believe when one of the ADs informed that Anushka indeed auditioned for the role. The AD then scanned all the auditions and showed the clip to the duo. In the video, Anushka enacts a famous dialogue from 'Munnabhai MBBS'.
Another fact is that the actress didn't have to be auditioned for 'pk' as the Director was impressed with her acting in 'Rab ne bana di jodi' and 'Band Baaja Baaraat'.
