Ganta Srinivasa Rao asks Governor ESL Narasimhan to take up inter issue with centre

Ganta Srinivasa requested the Governor to include the Intermediate exams issue in his agenda

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Sunday and requested him to apprise the Centre of the Intermediate exams tussle between the two states.

Mr Narasimhan is meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi to discuss various issues that have arisen between the two states.

The minister is learnt to have requested the Governor to include the Intermediate exams issue in his agenda. He also informed the Governor that the stalemate in the issue is troublesome for the students.

He said that another joint meeting of the education ministers would be held after the Governor returns from the capital and a final decision would be announced, said an official
“The Andhra Pradesh government wants common exams, but the Telangana government wants separate exams. Earlier, the Governor had intervened in the issue,” the official added.
