Hyderabad: The YSR Congress has severely criticised the AP government for issuing a GO restricting registrations. It has demanded the withdrawal of the GO stating that it will lead to land scams.
YSRC spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said “The GO no. 398 says that all land dealings with effect from November 28 should take place with the permission of the revenue officials, which is a blatant misuse of the official machinery, as Chandrababu Naidu’s coterie has purchased land in large holdings in advance and the GO will only enable his business associates to further their real estate businesses.”
He added that the GO was draconian in nature and was aimed at benefitting the TD leaders, who had blocked large extents of land after the swearing in of N. Chandrababu Naidu.
“While the farmers are a confused lot about their future, the TD government is issuing such a GO to further harm their interests and as a responsible Opposition party, we will oppose the move,” said Mr Rambabu.
