Amit Shah slams Mamata Banerjee over Saradha scam

BJP chief challenges Mamata to prove workers’ innocence in ponzi scam

Kolkata: BJP president Amit Shah adderessing a party rally said, “As party president, I can say the victories in Haryana and Maharastra are not big enough for us.

The real victory for the BJP will be to bring about a change in Bengal. If you start the beginning of Trinamul’s end with the 2015 municipal polls, then I promise you the party will end its victory rallies in Bengal in 2016.”

The BJP president also attacked the Trinamul over its failure to usher in development in West Bengal, and accused it of desperately trying to prevent the development ushered in by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have its effects here.

Accusing Ms Banerjee for shielding her party workers involved in Saradha scam and the accused in October 2 Burdwan blast, Mr Shah said she has been compromising with national security by indulging in vote bank politics.

Mr Shah even challenged her to prove that her party workers, arrested in Saradha scam, were innocent. “If you have guts prove that your party workers who were arrested in the Saradha scam are innocent.

I want to directly ask her some questions. Who is Kunal? Who bought your paintings? Were your party workers not benefited by Saradha money? It is clear that Trinamul leaders are involved in the scam,” Mr Shah said.

The permission to orga-nise the rally was received after the party thrice moved the HC.
