30 arrested in Connection with Railway Recruitment Board exam fraud
Hyderabad: The Railway Recruitment Board exam in Hyderabad is once again in the news over its papers being leaked. 30 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the paper leak.
The RRB exam paper was leaked earlier in 2010, shocking the railway officials over involvement of senior officials and their children. It was after a joint operation by the Hyderabad Task force and the CBI that the multi-crore Railway recruitment scam was unearthed and eight persons were arrested. The arrests included the son of the chairman of Railway Recruitment Board, Mumbai, for allegedly selling the paper.
As per the preliminary investigation of the current paper leak, it has come to light that one Railway employee headed the scam along with six others. “According to police information one employee’s involvement has come to our notice, if it is true, we will take action,” said Sambasiva Rao, chief PRO of the South Central Railways.
