Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to hoist the National Flag in the state on January 26, 2015, the Republic Day.
The state government has been unofficially informed that Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan decided to hoist the flag in Hyderabad.
Still, the AP government will officially request the Governor to hoist the flag in Andhra Pradesh as Mr Narasimhan is the Governor of both the states.
However, after receiving an official communication from Raj Bhavan, the AP government will request the Centre to nominate someone to hoist the National flag on Republic day in Andhra Pradesh.
The officials said generally in such situations, the Centre will nominate the Chief Minister to hoist the National flag.
