Meanwhile mates say he was a good peer

Students at the Pragathi Mahavidyalaya remember K. Harshavardhan, who died in a clash on Saturday, as being helpful. “He never used to quarrel with anyone and used to behave well with others,” said Ankit, a senior student.

Harshavardhan’s fa-ther K.S. Narsing Rao, a merchant, said “It was a spontaneous clash who expected it would end like this”.

Most of the students in the classroom where the clash occurred were girls, and they shouted for help. “Everything was over in a few minutes, I heard the shouting and when I went into the class, Harshavardhan was on the ground and his friends were running for water and help.

He was taken to the hospital, and I did not know it was serious till I heard the news,” said a student.
