Photographer sets world record for capturing 9 whales in single frame
Jew has waited decades to capture these magnificent images
Melbourne: An Australian underwater specialist photographer, Darren Jew, has recently set the Guinness World Record after becoming the first person to capture nine whales in a single frame.
Jew has waited decades to capture these magnificent images of whales swimming with Guinness world free-diving record-holder Ai Futaki off the coast of Tonga, the Daily Telegraph reported.
The 48-year-old Brisbane photographer said that on this occasion the weather, the light, the location, the water clarity and the whales everything came together perfectly in the pod with the bonus of Futaki.
She had to act quickly as the whales were travelling about 10 knots and any hesitation would have meant they missed the opportunity, he further added.
