Neil Hawgood is set to become chief coach of the Malaysian men’s team

New Delhi: Days after Terry Walsh’s exit, women’s coach Neil Hawgood too decided to part ways with Indian hockey. The development comes as a double blow for Indian hockey, with both the men’s and women’s teams left in the lurch. While Walsh quit days before the Champions Trophy at home next month. Said Hawgood from Bhopal, “The groundwork we have done with this team has been extensive.

The players are ready and prepared to make the Olympics, but I had a choice and I made it based on my life and the time I have been away.”
