Vizag to be smart city with US aid
Vizag to improve its academic skills
Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju on Thursday said that the people of the city should have to improve their academic skills as Vizag is to be developed as ‘smart city’ with US aid.
Speaking at a workshop on ‘Modalities to Make Smart City,’ Mr Raju said the importance of Vizag has been recognised when it figured along with Ajmer and Allahabad.
Government should have to develop the city as slum-free, provide round-the-clock power supply and take steps to protect all the citizens in the city, he added.
Other delegates in the workshop said students and faculty of AU have to join with government for developing Vizag as modern city by suggesting various models.
