Chain snatchers fled with her mangalsutra weighing about 10 grams

Hyderabad: Chain snatchers targeted a woman at Ramanthapur in Uppal and fled with her mangalsutra weighing about 10 grams late on Wednesday night. The victim, Subadra Reddy, was returning home from the market.
SI S. Ravi Kumar said two people followed the victim on a bike and targeted her in an isolated lane. The pillion rider got down from the bike and snatched the ornament.
The other person who was waiting at a distance drove away. Based on the victim’s complaint, a case was registered.
Cops suspect it could be the work of a local gang. They said efforts are on to trace the culprits.
