Jwala Gutta eyes berth at Rio games

Hyderabad’s ace shuttler said that break has come at good time right before hectic calender
Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s ace shuttler Jwala Gutta on Wednesday said she’s gearing up for 2015, an important year in so far as qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio is concerned. Jwala, who is likely to play next only at the Syed Modi International Badminton Championships, to be held in Lucknow towards the end of January, says this break is coming at a good time, right before a hectic calendar.
“Next year is a very big year. Everyone will be looking to qualify for the Rio Olympics. It will be very hectic. That’s why this break is important. Ashwini and I will most likely play at the Syed Modi Grand Prix in Lucknow, but the season only begins in earnest in the first week of March (at All England),” Jwala said, speaking on the sidelines of an event here on Wednesday.
