MDMK chief Vaiko slams PM Narendra Modi

Points out that Mr Modi’s action had hurt the sentiments of Tamils across the world
Karur: MDMK chief Vaiko took strong exception to PM Narendra Modi’s action of greeting Sri Lankan President Mahindra Rajapaksa for his victory in the island nation’s forthcoming Presidential poll in which he is seeking re-election. Addressing the media after cutting a cake to mark the 60th birth anniversary of LTTE supremo Prabhakaran at Periyathirumangalam village near Karur on Wednesday, Mr Vaiko pointed out that Mr Modi’s action had hurt the sentiments of Tamils across the world.
He hoped that Mr Modi should follow in the footsteps and policies of former PM Vajpayee who led the previous NDA government on the Lankan Tamils and LTTE affairs. He said that Prabhakaran’s birth anniversary was being celebrated by Tamils around the world, the MDMK having organised the observance across TN on Wednesday.
He urged the international community to put Rajapaksa before the international court of law for his war crimes.
