Another Tollywood town strike?
The AP Film Chamber of Commerce (APFCC) is unhappy with a clause in the agreement with the Film Federation Employees (FFE) and has decided not to sign the same.
Burugupalli Satyanarayana, chairman of Telugu Producers Council, says that they have given an impressive salary hike for all the employees.
“In India, TFI is the first to give a pay hike to the Federation employees and all of them are happy. Even the work conditions have been sorted out. The only problem is that they are asking us to work only with members who are registered with the Federation, which we have opposed. Apart from that everything is ready for the agreement.”
He adds that the employees were happy about the pay hike.
However, a source says that the Film Federation is once again threatening to go on strike if the producers don’t sign the agreement with the clause.
“We didn’t receive any notice or news about the strike, but if they still want to do so, it’s their decision,” says Burugupalli.
