Telangana will have to explain any delay in clearance
Hyderabad: The district-level committee and state-level committee are expected to clear project applications within 30 days, failing which the project will be deemed to have been cleared. For any delay, the government will have to explain reasons.
However, the size of investments that the district and state-level committees are supposed to clear, will be decided by the government separately.
These committees are to pursue the clearances with the concerned departments and accord the Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPASS) clearance within 30 days on behalf of all departments following which the industrial unit can be set up.
Mega projects, however, will be accorded clearances by the T-SWIFT Board. This Board will give provisional approval to mega projects within just 15 days.
In a statement, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said, “This is to provide speedy processing for issue of various licenses, clearances and certificates, which are required for setting up of industrial undertakings for promotion of development and to provide an investor-friendly environment in the state.
