In Japan, AP CM seeks cooperation in technology, smart cities

Naidu noted strong cultural links between India and Japan

Hyderabad: Seeking to woo Japanese investors, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday pitched for cooperation in technology, modern agricultural practices and building smart cities in the state.

During his interaction at Fukuoka City, where he visited the San-no storm water reservoir, Naidu highlighted investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and spoke about similarities between Japan and his state.

Naidu noted strong cultural links between India and Japan which, he added, is similar to Andhra Pradesh in terms of geographical shape, a long coast-line, knowledge of information technology, entrepreneurship and working culture of the people.

Highlighting that India is marching ahead on the path of progress since the new government assumed office, he hailed Japan Premier's announcement of investing USD 36 billion in India, according to a state government release here.

Naidu appreciated Japan for achieving great progress despite facing disasters.

Fukuoka City Deputy Mayor Sadakari Atsuhito said they are ready to share knowledge in the development of AP's capital city.
