Entrance Commissioner asked to put out clear list

Justice A.Muhamed Mustaque issued the directive on a plea filed by Mahin Noushad of Kanjirappally

Kochi: In an attempt to bring in transparency and fairness, the Kerala High Court has directed the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations to publish the list of candidates who were initially shown in the reserved category and later converted to open merit considering their last rank allotted in the open category.

Justice A.Muhamed Mustaque issued the directive on a plea filed by Mahin Noushad of Kanjirappally, Kottayam.

The court also observed that in every entrance examination, the list of such candidates should be published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on the website showing the details of the candidates who were subsequently treated as open category candidates though they were initially shown as belonging to the reserved category at the time of granting admission. Whether admissions were made in a phased manner or not was not relevant, the court observed.
