Aluva magistrate told to finish Ranjini trial

Justice B.Kemal Pasha issued the directive while disposing of a petition filed by Ranjini Haridas

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday asked the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate Court to complete the trial of the case registered against anchor Ranjini Haridas in connection with a tussle with a fellow traveller at Nedumbassery International airport, within four months.

Justice B.Kemal Pasha issued the directive while disposing of a petition filed by Ranjini Haridas. Haridas, through Advocate Millu Dandapani sought to quash the FIR registered against her.

The case against Ranjini was registered after a section of passengers alleged that she had verbally abused them when they questioned her for jumping the queue at the immigration counter on May 16, 2013, at the Nedumbassery International Airport.
