How astronauts 'poop' in zero-gravity

Its takes around 45 minutes for an Astronaut to complete the natures call

New York: You would have probably thought of this question, but never really found an answer. How do astronauts excrete in zero gravity.

Here is how they do it.

Being an astronaut involves a lot of hard work and a lot of indignity as well. Report suggests that in space its takes around 45 minutes for an astronaut to complete the natures call.

Also the process of getting ready for the natures call is quite longer, as astronauts need to tie themselves with the toilet to maintain a stationary position.

Astronauts reportedly go through "positional training" on Earth to make sure solid waste goes directly into the narrow opening of these space toilets.

Astronauts like Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong used fecal collection bags that stuck to their bottoms with adhesive when they had to go. And microgravity could make things messy.

Fecal matter, meanwhile, often gets packed up and cast off from the space station with other trash in capsules that burn up in the atmosphere, reported space.com.
