N Chandrababu Naidu holds talks with two Japanese firms
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has invited Japan-based Yanmar, an agriculture equipment manufacturer, and Nidec Corporation, a motor manufacturer, to set up units in AP.
Mr Naidu assured the companies that all permissions will be cleared in a week and the companies can start work in eight days.
On Monday, the first day of his Japan tour, Mr Naidu met Yanmar managing director Naoki Kobayayashi and Nidec chairman Shihenobu Nagamori and explained the possibilities of setting up their units in the state.
Mr Nagamori said that they tried to do business in India some years ago but failed due to red tape.
Reacting to this, Mr Naidu said India has now changed at the Centre and in AP. Mr Naidu said India now is moving fast and AP is a favourite destination for investments.
He added that the Centre and state are working harmoniously and they have a skilled workforce.
The AP CM also mentioned that the state has set up a single window for rapid clearances and that it has 24x7 power supply. Mr Nagamori told Naidu that once they start operations in India, they could use it as a base for exports
The Chief Minister also extended an invitation to Yanmar to explore opportunities in AP and help the state in making agriculture profitable.
