Manufacturing needs emphasis: DRDO Director
The country’s manufacturing sector must be developed
Vijayawada: Defence Research and Development Organisation director, general and scientific adviser to defence minister Avinash Chander on Monday emphasised the need for India to advance in technology.
Mr Chander was speaking at the VR Siddartha Engineering College here at the launch of the centre for excellence in composites.
He said that the future of defence technology is having unmanned equipment where non-contact wars can take place.
He said the country’s manufacturing sector must be developed. “If the youth workforce is absorbed into manufacturing, wonders can be worked,” Mr Chander said.
