HYDERABAD: Computer dealers and shops have seen a drop of 70 per cent in their sales due to heavy discounts offered by online shopping websites on all kinds of computers, laptops, tabs and accessories.
The Twin Cities Computer Dealers' Association will go on a bandh. The Association wants the government to tighten the online traders.
“The online trade of computers is killing our business, The websites are able to offer big discounts as they don’t need to pay service tax.
Our business has gone down by 50 to 70 per cent in the last three to four months,” said Lalit Kothari, vice-president of the Association.
