State BJP general secretary S. Mohanarajulu in whose presence several persons joined the saffron party on the banks of Kosathalaiyar river on Sunday assures that people could witness more development only when the BJP is elected to power in TN. “See the good schemes of our Prime Minister Modiji. He has launched the Jan Dhan Yojana to empower people. The savings account that you open will go a long way in improving your financial and social conditions,” he said.
According to sources as on November 19 a total of 38.43 lakh accounts including 22.12 lakh in rural, 16.31 lakhs in urban areas have been opened in TN while across the country it is 7.87 crore accounts.
“Opening the account is easy, our party members would gladly assist you if you seek their assistance,” Mr Mohanarajulu appealed.
The saffron party hopes to take this scheme to the nook and corners of the state. “Our next mission is to rev up the membership drive. We have planned to take up door campaigning to increase the membership to one crore,” he said. For the first time the party had used the ‘missed call’ campaign to enroll more members into the party.
