The auction of red sanders is scheduled from November 24 to December 1
Tirupati: The much-awaited sale of red sanders by the Andhra Pradesh government got underway on Monday.
The state government, which braved all odds including technical issues and legal tangles, successfully began the e-auction of red sanders logs through global tenders using the Central government’s MSTC e-commerce platform on Monday.
The government has placed 4,160 million tonnes of red sanders logs of different grades for sale in the first phase. The auctions will go on till December 1.
According to sources, about 14.5 tonnes of red sanders logs of the Tirupati depot are part of the global auction.
