Nigaar Khan says Big Boss stint was ‘bitter’
Mumbai: Nigaar Khan is the latest contestant to be shown the door at the Big Boss house. But the model-actress says she’s more than happy to be back in her world of “genuine and positive people”.
“I feel blessed to be out of the muck. It was very unpleasant there are all these frivolous people under one roof who don’t give a damn about others’ emotions. It was a very bitter experience,” Nigar says, mincing no words.
Among the inmates this season is Diandra Soares. Nigaar and Diandra go back a long way, since they’ve modeled together. Was her presence in the house any help? “Nobody in the house was my friend. There were a couple of incidents where Diandra could have stood up for me, but she didn’t. It was a butcher house, to be frank,” Nigaar says.
It was a very short stint in the house for Nigaar was she expecting to be out so soon? “Honestly I didn’t expect to be out so quickly, but people inside the house were threatened by my presence as I would see through their evil intentions and stood up for what I felt was just,” she says.
The show’s previous season was won by her sister Gauhar. Who does she think stands a good chance this season? “I want Upen to win it, but with the kind of people lodged inside, I doubt he will,” Nigaar says. “The P3G gang that is Puneet, Praneet, Pritam and Gautam is commanding the house with its foul play.”
“Gauhar advised me to be myself on the show, and I guess that didn’t go down too well with the housemates, but I’m happy that, with the kind of people I had to face, I now value my real life relationships even more,” she adds.
Completely cut off from the outside world, what was the one thing that she missed the most? “ I’m a complete BBM person; I missed my phone like fish misses water! I was constantly touching my battery pouch thinking it was my phone,” says Nigaar, laughing.
And what comes next? Do any B’wood projects beckon? “I’m satisfied with my current phase right now. I don’t wish to do films as there are some wonderful TV offers lined up,” she says. “I might even settle down you never know!”
