Telugu Desam, BJP to fight GHMC poll
Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam and BJP will have electoral tie-up for the ensuing MLC and Secunderabad Cantonment Board elections.
They have also decided to forge alliance during the GHMC polls, whenever they are held.
Newly inducted Union minister of state for labour and employment, Mr Bandaru Dattatreya on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to TD president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at his residence.
During the meeting attended by BJP legislators Dr K. Laxman and Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and TD floor leader in Assembly Errabelli Dayakara Rao, it was decided that the alliance of TD-BJP will continue even in the coming elections including for the Graduate Constituencies of Hyderabad and Khammam besides Secunderabad Cantonment Board.
Mr Dattatreya promised to take up all the issues concerning AP along with Telangana state. After the formal exchanges of pleasantries between the leaders, both Mr Naidu and Mr Dattatreya were closeted in a meeting for a few minutes.
Coming out of the meeting, Mr Dattatreya told newsmen that as a Union minister it is his duty to help all states and he will do justice to what AP government seeks of him.
