Land deals can go on in pooling villages, says AP Deputy CM
Farmers can sell their lands and purchase it as per their interest, says Dy CM
RAJAHMUNDRY: Deputy chief minister K.E Krishnamurthy said on Sunday that the government had not blocked land transactions in the state including in the Guntur-Vijawayada region where capital will come up.
“Farmers can sell their lands and purchase it as per their interest. If they hand over their land for pooling for the capital, they can get Rs 1 crore per acre in future,” said Mr Krishnamurthy, who handles the revenue portfolio.
Mr Krishnamurthy said it would take at least one-and-a-half years to start work on the capital. He said that government would take all steps to protect the interests of farmers while collecting land for the capital.
The government would not force the farmers, it would convince them on land pooling, he said. Mr Krishnamurthy said the government was committed to the welfare of the farmers but at the same time the capital would have to be built.
