An FIR registered against a Maulana Azad National Urdu University employee

Hyderabad: The cyber crime police has registered an FIR against a Maulana Azad National Urdu University employee for allegedly posting a morphed image showing Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as a eunuch, on a social networking websites.
The FIR was registered, following a complaint lodged by Telangana Muslim advocates forum president Waheed Ahmed.
Mr Ahmed alleged that one Wajihus Shams, a non-teaching employee of the university, had posted the picture. “By doing so, he has damaged the reputation of the Chief Minister and Telangana state,” Mr Waheed said.
He alleged that Shams had threatened him with dire consequences if he did not withdraw his complain. This was also reported to the Nampally police. The cyber crime police registered a case under Section 66 (A) of the IT Act, 2008 and has taken up investigation, said inspector P. Raju.
