Man dies undergoing treatment for swine flu
Hyderabad: Twenty-nine-year-old Asif Khan died of swine flu while undergoing treatment at premier Hospitals. The patient was from Moinabad and was admitted to the hospital with severe respiratory problems.
A senior doctor at the hospital explained, “He came at an advanced stage. Arif’s family members have also been asked to approach the government hospital and procure the tablets so that there is no spread of the virus.”
A total of 10 swine-flu related deaths have been recorded till November 22, 2014. The government has tested 584 samples, out of which 37 have positive.
After continuously pursuing with the Central government, Tamiflu tablets and Starflu are now available with the state government. Dr Sri Harsha of the district medical and health department said, “We have received the stock from the Centre and can distribute the tablets to the relatives for precautionary measures.”
