GHMC sanctions Rs 20 Lakh per circle to repair roads

The amount will be given to the circle deputy commissioners

Hyderabad: The infrared vehicle, meant to repair the potholes in the city, has become dysfunctional, and the GHMC has now sanctioned Rs 20 lakh per circle for road repairs.

The amount will be given to the circle deputy commissioners. The GHMC claimed that the ‘Road Doctor’ machine was damaged and could not be used.

Meanwhile, the civic body has warned all high rise buildings, multiplexes, hospitals, commercial complexes, offices etc. to take preventive measures against fire. It said that the deadline for NoC application expired on November 20.

Regarding the Metro Rail works, the GHMC commissioner said, “The pending Metro work, like acquisition of land, will be completed by December-end. Properties already acquired will be handed over to the Metro authorities.”
